Lee and the Making of Southern Strategy, 1861–1862. At that time, they were placed in the newly established Washington Confederate Cemetery in nearby Hagerstown. The appeal for this one comes from its rarity in miniature, the chance to use the Bala Hissar in an actual battle, and the fact that the battle was fought in December, which means I need to build snow and ice covered terrain, something I've never done before.

Application County & Year: Hillsborough Co 1905 The 2nd Florida was organized on April and July 1861 and mustered into Confederate service for 12 months near Jacksonville, Floridaon July 13, 1861 and joined Lee's Army of Northern Virginia in the late summer. The forts were fitted for artillery batteries, which were placed on level platforms behind gun embrasures.
