I liked NewType. It was such a beautiful magazine, so colorful and glossy! I loved the DVD extras that came with it but honestly, as far as quality info, I prefer OtakuUSA. I do dread to see what they'll do with NewType but I'm trying to remain hopeful! And yes, I love ShonenJump and ShojoBeat. It's weird because I never thought of myself as someone who liked shojo manga until I realized that I was really enjoying ShojoBeat. And several of the titles, I sought out to continue with. Then suddenly, there was this moment of panic when I realized that I'd become a shojo fan! The horror! The embarrassment! And finally...the acceptance! ;)

I like both anime and manga. Manga's a lot more portable than anime though. And I agree, for me, the perfect balance is a combo of both! The joy of seeing my favorite characters come to life is usually a wonderful thing! But I also really enjoy the added depth, and sometimes storyline, that only comes with manga. Actually, I shouldn't say only because Bleach has an entire story arc that is exclusive to the anime!

Basically, I love them both!

Ah man, I like Newtype as it is. :( I hope the new version of it continues to have awesome freebies and previews though. Yeah, nothing beats Shonen Jump and Shoujo Beat, although I'm not a big fan of Shoujo manga it seems. :P

I like manga, and I enjoy reading it, but I think I enjoy anime itself more. Because if I want a break from reading I can go watch anime. But if I want a break from reading...well you get the idea. Although I think it's best to watch the anime and read the manga. You get the best of both worlds and understand everything much better.
